Reflexology

Reflexology is believed to have started in ancient Egypt and was subsequently spread throughout the Roman Empire.  The therapist uses thumbs and fingers to apply pressure to the areas of the client’s feet and / or hands.
Other than these areas the client remains fully clothed lying down on the massage couch.

This treatment is very relaxing and many clients even fall asleep during the treatment.

Reflexolgists believe that the feet and hands mirror the body.  All organs of the body can be mapped onto areas of the feet known as reflex points. Furthermore, there are many nerve endings on the feet that when stimulated can have a very relaxing and soothing effect on the body.  A Reflexologist will stimulate these reflex points to treat imbalances and to have a positive effect on the corresponding parts of the body, promoting self-healing.

The consultation and a foot reading are included in the treatment along with a foot massage and / or hand massage.

Reflexology can treat many health problems such as back, head and neck aches, migraines, stress, PMS, digestive, circulatory, respiratory and urinary problems. Some women have even reported Reflexology has helped them become pregnant!

If you like the idea of an alternative therapy and having your feet massaged this is the perfect treatment for you.

Don’t worry if you have ticklish feet as the treatment is very precise and more pressure can be given to avoid the tickling sensation.

A course of four to six treatments is recommended for optimum results.

A one hour reflexology treatment costs £45
