Indian Head Massage

Indian Head Massage is based on the ancient practice of Ayurveda, which translates as the science of knowledge and life.

In Indian culture it is believed the body, mind and spirit can be treated by balancing the Chakras (energy centres).

Indian Head Massage also known as Champissage, from where the word shampoo has its origins, has been practiced in India for over a thousand years because it has been recorded as having therapeutic values.

The massage techniques are traditionally passed down from mother to daughter.  It is also practiced in barber shops to stimulate the hair follicles.

Modern day Indian Head Massage can be performed with or without the use of oils, which means that the client can enjoy this treatment fully clothed. This makes Indian Head Massage very accessible in many environments, such as at home, work and in the clinic.

It is especially good, like Onsite massage, for:

  • relieving stress
  • tension
  • headaches
  • migrane
  • fatigue

More specific conditions that can be treated include:

  • aching jaws
  • sinusitis
  • hair loss
  • dandruff
  • psoriasis

A half hour treatment costs £45
